yellooo people!!,Today I am going to give some gyaan on the industry of Advertising....so plunge in with me!
This is the best and worst of times for Indian advertising agencies.On the one hand,there are ample opportunities for growth not only in existing areas of activity,but also in new fields that are opening up thanks to liberalization and globalisation,technological progresses and changing lifestyles.Developments in the last five to ten years have changed (or are changing) the rules of the industry dramatically,both in India and Abroad.
- Emergence of the internet and other new media such as ATM,WAP devices and interactive T.V are exciting and threatening.
- Interactive divisions of many agencies are now offering consulting,web branding ,web designing and offline advertising strategies e.g. Contact,the BTL division of Contact Advertising.
- Online Advertising will be on the rise and is expexted to cross Rs 900 crore by the end of 2010.As a result our focus will change from broadcasting to narrow casting!
- Media planning and buying has become highly specialised due to the emergence of new media and the need for relating media characteristics better with brand and consumer profile.
